Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nutritionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dietetics and health coaching, with experience in acute care settings. This role is essential in developing and implementing individualized care plans and providing expert nutritional guidance to patients. The Nutritionist will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellness through effective dietary management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans for patients based on their mental health and medical history and dietary needs.
- Provide health coaching to patients to support weight loss and overall wellness goals.
- Collaborate with mental health teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Conduct assessments of patients’ nutritional status and make recommendations for supplements, herbs, plant based proteins to support overall health.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in nutrition and dietetics to provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition practices, meal planning, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required.
- Experience in acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dietary systems and care plans.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate diverse populations effectively.
- Proven ability to supervise staff and manage departmental operations efficiently.
- Familiarity with weight loss programs and nutritional counseling techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.

Pay: $21.59 - $26.00 per hour
