Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant
Location: Albuquerque, NM 87111
Type: Full time
Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $31.20 - $34.28
Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and mobility training.
- Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in compliance with facility policies.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and strategies for improving daily functioning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and occupational therapy practices.
- Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, home health, skilled nursing facilities, or acute care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Ability to assist patients with physical tasks while ensuring their comfort and safety.
