ENERAL OVERVIEW:
Offsite Clinician provides mental health or behavioral health services to clients in various offsite locations, which may include client homes, community centers, or other designated settings. This role involves conducting assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and managing treatment plans remotely or at client sites. The Offsite Clinician is responsible for ensuring high-quality care, maintaining professional standards, and coordinating with other healthcare providers
ESPONSIBILITIES:
Counseling and Therapy:
· Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health or behavioral health needs in offsite settings.
· Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients, utilizing various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices in offsitee settings.
· Address a range of issues related to substance use, including triggers, coping strategies, and relapse prevention.
· Facilitate support groups and educational workshops to enhance clients’ understanding of addiction and recovery.
Treatment Planning and Management:
· Collaborate with clients to set and achieve realistic recovery goals and objectives.
· Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress throughout their treatment, making adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.
· Work with clients to develop personalized relapse prevention strategies and support their long-term recovery efforts.
Client Support and Advocacy:
· Assist clients in accessing additional resources and support services, including medical care, housing, employment, and social services.
· Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the healthcare system and the community.
· Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, including immediate response to emergency situations.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
· Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.
· Ensure that all documentation complies with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
· Prepare and submit reports as required by the organization and funding sources.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
· Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client cases, treatment plans, and progress.
· Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to support clients’ recovery and well-being.
Quality Assurance and Professional Development:
· Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in addiction treatment.
· Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing client care and program effectiveness.
· Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines in all aspects of clinical practice.
· Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counselor AND/ORCASAC-T or higher CASAC Credentialing (in good and valid standing)
· Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse Treatment, or Psychiatric setting
· Preferred knowledge of healthcare, detoxification process, addiction and co-occurring disorders, DSM and ASAM criteria, and terminology surrounding all of the above
· Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; and edit work for spelling and grammar.
· Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in both positive and negative situations; listen and obtain clarification when necessary; respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills and actively participate in team meetings
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
