On-Call Armed Security Transport Officer - Leroy, Michigan
Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Armed Security Officers to join our team on an on-call basis. This role primarily involves providing secure pick-ups and transports, armed escorts, and de-escalating high conflict situations as needed. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in corrections, law enforcement, or military service and will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for all individuals and employees.
Must be able to pass a background check and a MVR.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Transports: With our security car located at the base in Leroy, MI, you will pick-up clientele and securely transport them to the drop-off location.
- Maintain Situational Awareness: Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, minimizing distractions such as cell phone use to maintain optimal focus.
- Report Concerns: Immediately report any safety or security concerns to appropriate channels for prompt resolution.:
- De-escalation: Ensure safety of employees and clientele, engage with unruly or disordly persons.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in corrections, law enforcement, military, or related fields is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to handle a physical workload, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Security Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with security equipment such as radios and cameras.
- Licensing and Equipment: Valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL) required. Possession of a legal personal sidearm. A Level 2 (or higher) retention holster is required.
- Background Requirements: Must have no criminal history and be able to pass a comprehensive background check, MVR and drug screening.
- Weather Adaptability: Ability to work outdoors and endure inclement weather conditions.
Compensation:
- Pay Range: $20 - $30 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Schedule:
- Work Hours: On-Call, there is no standard schedule, as work hours are client-dependent.
