Summary
As an Operations Associate at Knife Merchant, you will be a crucial member of our team, ensuring our daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. This "girl or boy friday" role is central to upholding our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction. You will handle a variety of tasks, from administrative duties in the office to hands-on work in the warehouse, making you a key player in our order fulfillment process.
Responsibilities -
Office & Administrative:
- Accurately and efficiently type up customer orders.
- Generate and print shipping labels.
- Enter vendor invoices and item receipts into QuickBooks.
- Answer incoming phone calls, providing friendly and professional assistance to customers.
Warehouse & Fulfillment
- Assist with packing customer orders to ensure they are secure and ready for shipment.
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock shelves to maintain accurate inventory and an orderly warehouse.
Requirements
- Comfortable and proficient with computers; ability to learn new software is essential.
- A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to take on new tasks as needed.
- A quick learner with strong attention to detail.
- Hard-working, reliable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Must be able to be on your feet for periods of time and assist with lifting and moving shipments in the warehouse.
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus, but a great attitude and strong work ethic are most important.
