The UF Health MyRx Program is a precision medicine initiative designed to connect patients and providers with personalized medication guidance through genetic testing. By integrating pharmacogenomic (PGx) information into routine clinical care, MyRx supports optimized treatment outcomes, reduces adverse drug reactions, and delivers actionable, patient-specific prescribing recommendations. The program operates as a patient-facing virtual clinic, coordinating PGx testing and clinical consultation services.

The OPS Business Development Manager (Internship) will play a vital role in expanding the reach of the MyRx Program across Florida and Georgia. The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct in-person outreach visits to clinics and healthcare providers, promote the MyRx Program, build and strengthen relationships, and support program adoption. The overarching goal is to increase MyRx referrals and statewide awareness, advancing the use of personalized medicine across UF Health’s clinical network and affiliated partners.

This position is ideal for a graduate student pursuing studies in business, health administration, pharmacy, or public health who is interested in healthcare innovation and outreach strategy. Regular travel across North Central Florida is expected, with occasional travel to other parts of Florida and potentially Georgia. This position is approximately 20 hours per week.

Conduct outreach visits to clinics and providers across Florida and Georgia to promote the MyRx Program:

Support event planning and representation at health fairs, conferences, or community engagement events:
  • Identify and represent the MyRx Program at strategic events (e.g., health fairs, conferences, community outreach) to increase program visibility and build partnerships.
Monitor and report referral activity and outreach outcomes:
