The laser systems group manufactures complex laser processing systems. Critical components of these systems are optics and optical assemblies.
Duties:
- Assemble and align free-space optical components including lenses, mirrors and other optical elements.
- Perform optical system integration and troubleshooting ensuring all components meet specifications and performance standards.
- Use precision tools and equipment such as microscopes and optical mounts to assemble and test laser head.
- Conduct tests on finished assemblies to ensure functionality, optical performance and alignment.
- Document assembly processes, test results and any issues encountered during assembly.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to resolve issues and improve assembly procedures.
- Follow company standards for safety and quality control throughout the assembly process.
- Regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work overtime are essential functions of this job
- Technical school graduate or equivalent experience
