Responsibilities:
-Operate pretesting equipment
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide recommendations on lens options, frames, and lens coatings based on customers' needs and prescriptions
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders and ensure timely delivery of eyewear
- Maintain inventory of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies
Experience:
- Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for handling eyewear
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology related to the eye
- Familiarity with ophthalmology terminology and procedures
- Strong retail sales skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in retail math for pricing and billing purposes
