Responsibilities:
- Assist optometrist with patient care and examinations
- Obtain and record patient medical history, including allergies and current medications
- Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception
- Administer eye drops and other medications as directed by the optometrist
- Conduct diagnostic tests such as tonometry and visual field testing
- Prepare patients for contact lens fittings and assist with contact lens insertion and removal
- Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment
