Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced surgical environment, preferably within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse medical team. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments prior to surgery, ensuring all medical history and current health conditions are documented.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room, including the setup of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures, responding promptly to any changes.
- Administer medications and perform necessary procedures such as phlebotomy, suturing, and dialysis as required.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Uphold medical terminology standards in communication with team members.
Experience
- Current RN license with relevant experience in an Operating Room setting.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
- Experience working in both Level I Trauma Center and Level II Trauma Center environments is advantageous.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, patient care protocols, and pediatric nursing practices is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to surgical procedures.

Pay: $52.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
