Job Details:
We’re hiring staff members for the remainder of our summer season (August-October) to help lead outdoor kayaking and hiking trips. This Nashville-based position includes facilitating river kayaking tours and guiding half-day and full-day hiking tours. This position offers the opportunity to share your passion for the outdoors, and interface directly with tour groups and adventure customers.
This is a seasonal, contract-based position that coincides with our operating season. We schedule shifts based on guide availability, and booking traffic. Shift availability slows into the Fall/Winter, and we are completely closed from December through March.
We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate other jobs, music gigs, etc. We strive to create a great community of like-minded outdoor-loving people!
Job Qualifications:
- Candidates must be 21 years of age or older
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to spend extended periods of time outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions
- Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to engage groups with informative and entertaining presentations
- Ability to operate under limited supervision
- Passion for the outdoors and sharing adventure with others
Preferred Qualifications
- Wilderness First Aid/First Responder
- Experience in tour guiding, education
- Driving/backing up trailers

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
