Summary of Position
Responsible for the safeguarding of hotel property, assets, guests, visitors, and employees. Supervise and train staff in established safety, security and emergency procedures. Position focuses on ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while protecting the property and safety of guests and employees.
The pay rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.
Work Hours
- Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs.
- Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions.

Essential Job Duties
- Oversee the day to day operations of security.
- Comply with applicable laws and safety regulations.
- Follow proper key control guidelines in loss prevention and in the property.
- Incorporate into patrols, which encompass all areas of the property's interior and exterior, an inspection tour of recording system.
- Follow Duty of Care process for the protection of guests and employees.
- Follows up on all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the well being of guests and employees.
- Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Monitors all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the well being of guests and employees.
- Oversees loss prevention operations to include but not limited to patrol process, emergency response, investigations (initial & follow up) for all guest and employee related incidents, shipping and receiving process (makes recommendations for improvement), electronic key system and manager on duties responsibilities.
- Supports the efforts of the Safety Committee.
- Comply with the first aid program for guests and employees.
- Administrate the claims process for guest and employee injuries and incidents.
- Communicates the importance of safety procedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring employee understanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and procedures related to safety.
- Emphasizes teamwork, close working relationships with other departments and assertive hospitality to serve as a deterrent to crime.
- Provides personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
- Monitor quality, standards, and meets the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
- Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Select talented, qualified, and service oriented individuals to embody the core values of the hotel’s culture.
- Supervise and manage employees in support of the day-to-day operations.
- Schedule associates for operations and manage payroll and productivity.
- Review staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
- Train and develop associates on 4 Keys service standards, technical skills, standard operation procedures, and safety standards.
- Ensure associates exceed service standards.
- Solicits employee feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy, and reviews employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.
- Informs and/or updates the executives, the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
- Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members.
- Fosters open channels of communication between all employees.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among associates.
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management.
