We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care for dogs during their walks. As a Dog Walker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our furry clients while providing peace of mind to their owners.
Duties
- Walk dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain control of the dog at all times, using appropriate handling techniques.
- Monitor the dog's behavior during walks and report any concerns to the owner.
- Provide basic training commands as needed to reinforce good behavior.
- Ensure that dogs are properly hydrated and take breaks as necessary.
- Clean up after dogs during walks to maintain a clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behavior.
- Keep accurate records of each walk, including duration, distance, and any notable observations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dog handling or related fields such as veterinary assistance, pet sitting, or dog training is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques is highly beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Ability to manage multiple dogs at once while ensuring their safety.
- Physical stamina to walk dogs for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and well-being.
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on job location and client needs.
