Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented paralegal/Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our legal office. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a solid understanding of legal processes, legal drafting, electronic filing, file management, and client communications particularly in areas such as family law, personal injury, criminal defense and general civil litigation
Duties
- Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars for attorneys.
- Oversee document review processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
- Assist in the management of legal cases, including filing documents with courts and maintaining case files.
- Perform proofreading of legal documents to ensure clarity and correctness.
- Provide clerical support, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
- Collaborate with attorneys on contract management and compliance matters.
- Facilitate communication between clients and attorneys, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
Experience
- Proven experience in a legal administrative role preferred
- Strong skills in document review and legal case management are essential.
- Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure high-quality documentation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for client interaction and internal collaboration.
