Overview:
Our fast-paced, dynamic workers' compensation law firm is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Paralegal or Legal Secretary to join our team. If you're a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a passion for helping clients navigate the workers' compensation process, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file legal documents related to hearings, claims, and filings.
Coordinate and communicate with insurance carriers, doctor's offices, and clients.
Maintain case files, including all related correspondence, medical records, and legal documents.
Assist attorneys with case preparation and legal research as needed.
Organize and schedule hearings, appointments, and client meetings.
Draft routine correspondence and client updates.
Representing our clients interest at Informal Hearings, as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Paralegal or Legal Secretary in a law firm, preferably in workers' compensation or personal injury; or
Willing to train the right applicant with less or limited experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
