TITLE: Paraprofessionals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 60 college hours or equivalent.
- Competency in the area assigned.
- General understanding of public education.
- Good human relations skills.
REPORTS TO: Supervising Teacher and Principal
JOB GOAL: To assist and support a Cooperating Teacher
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with cooperating teacher’s program.
- Works with small groups of children.
- Works individually with students to meet their basic educational needs.
- Assists with the educational program of the district.
- Follow all requirements set forth by DESE and District Board Policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Education or administration.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Nine month employment.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of
District Board Policy.
