Overview:
Maintain parts inventory and distribution in a manufacturing plant setting, as well as packaging and shipping parts orders from the customer service department. Display strong organization skills, accurate inventory logs, and maintain a clean and orderly parts crib.
Job Duties:
Parts Cage
- Pick inventory items for manufacturing orders, checking off on pick list as they are placed in carts or on pallets, for Material Management
- Record any missing M.O. parts, check the software system for open purchase orders or manufacturing orders for those items and notify Purchasing or Materials Management if none exist.
- Keep track of low inventory items and report to Purchasing for purchased materials or Materials Management for Tucs made parts.
- Perform cycle counts on inventory and make necessary adjustments to inventory with managements approval.
- Assist production personnel with needed parts
- Generate lasered name plates for equipment (will be trained)
- Assist Receiving with purchased parts orders as needed
Shipping
- Package and weigh parts orders for shipment
- Generate appropriate UPS or FedEx label prior to daily pickups
- Close out daily UPS and FedEx accounts
- Maintain shipping supplies such as boxes, bubble wrap, etc.
- Assist Materials Management with equipment shipments as needed
Must be able to:
- Manage flow of materials from parts crib
- Forklift license (Preferred)
- Basic computer skills for emails, system lookup, etc.
- Use measuring devices such as tapes, gauges, and weight scales
- Basic math skills for counting, adding, subtraction
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Stand, bend, reach for extended periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
