Becker County DAC provides high-quality day services to adults with disabilities in a supportive, person-centered environment. We are currently seeking a compassionate and flexible individual to join our team as a Part-Time Direct Support Staff – Float to support individuals across various program areas as needed.
Position Summary:
The Float DSP will provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings, filling in for regularly scheduled staff as needed. Duties may include personal care, community outings, skill-building activities, transportation, and documentation.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position. Hours may vary based on program needs and staff coverage but will fall within Monday-Friday 7am-4pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respectful, person-centered support to individuals with disabilities
- Assist with daily living tasks, hygiene, meals, and mobility
- Support participation in community and in-center activities
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment
- Follow all organizational and licensing policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
- Ability to pass a DHS background check
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with mobility as needed
- Previous experience in human services preferred, but not required
