What You'll Do:
As our Lead Teacher, you'll play a vital role in shaping the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of our precious students. You will:
- Ignite Curiosity: Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning through play-based activities.
- Create a Haven: Cultivate and maintain a warm, safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment where each child feels valued, respected, and encouraged to explore.
- Nurture Individuality: Provide individualized attention, care, and support to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each child, promoting their well-being and growth.
- Partner with Families: Build strong, positive relationships with parents through effective communication, regular updates, and active participation in family engagement events.
- Collaborate and Grow: Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and staff to enhance curriculum, share best practices, and address the diverse needs of our students.
- Ensure Safety and Well-being: Maintain required certifications, including CPR and First Aid (or be willing to obtain), and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Embrace Conscious Discipline: Learn and consistently implement Conscious Discipline techniques to guide children's behavior and foster self-regulation.
What You'll Bring:
- A deep understanding of early childhood development and best practices.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to nurturing young learners.
- Proven experience in implementing curriculum and creating engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A collaborative spirit and a commitment to teamwork.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a well-structured classroom.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A commitment to learning and implementing Conscious Discipline practices.
- Active participation in family engagement initiatives.
- Preferred: Experience in Early Childhood Education, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
