This role requires a strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Must have your own tools, transportation is 1 hour radius around Raleigh.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in flooring installation, restoration, and construction. This role requires a strong understanding of various flooring materials and techniques. The Flooring Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Install a variety of flooring types including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet.
- Perform tile laying and ensure proper alignment and spacing.
- Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate project quotes.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for flooring projects.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Execute restoration projects including water damage restoration and fixture installation.
- Carry out trim carpentry tasks to enhance the overall finish of flooring installations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area throughout the project duration.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation, construction, or related fields.
- Strong skills in construction estimating and blueprint reading.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and various flooring materials.
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, concrete finishing, caulking, buffing, and floor care.
- Knowledge of restoration industry practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
