Job Responsibilities
The Part Time Industrial Maintenance Technology Lab Assistant performs the following functions:
Lab Assistants are used to assist Full-time instructors in the labs containing high enrollment. They also are used to prepare, repair, and maintain the lab equipment that is used in the Lab. Lab Assistants are also responsible for installing, activating, re-activating, maintaining, and upgrading all software applications that are needed to operate all of the automated equipment in the labs. Another duty for the Lab Assistant is to monitor consumables and report to the Department Chair when they need to be replenished.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of computers, computer file management, and software installation. Knowledge of technical equipment used in manufacturing. Such as: Programmable Logic Controllers, Electronic Variable Speed Drives, Piping Systems, Blueprint Reading, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Automated Manufacturing Equipment and Robotics, Mechanical Power Transmission, Vibration Analysis, etc.
