Job Title: Part-Time IT Support Specialist (School-Based)
We are seeking a dependable and tech-savvy Part-Time IT Support Specialist to assist our Manager of Information Technology in supporting the daily technology needs of our school community. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that staff, administration, and systems operate smoothly and efficiently in a secure digital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day technical support to school staff and administration for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive), Printers, and internal servers.
- Support technology use across school operations
- Respond to help desk requests, resolve basic IT issues, and escalate more complex issues to the Manager of IT or Head of School.
- Help maintain data security and implement best practices for cyber safety within the school setting.
- Support classroom and office technology, including audio/visual setups and device troubleshooting.
- Maintain documentation of user support requests, troubleshooting steps, and recurring issues.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills…Must be able to assist individuals with varying levels of tech experience
- Highly organized, with the ability to multitask and manage priorities
- A sense of urgency and attention to detail to meet the fast-paced needs of a school environment
- Demonstrates reliability, confidentiality, and a collaborative spirit
- Prior experience providing technical support in a school or educational setting preferred but not required
Job Type: Part-time/per diem (Could become a full time position)
