20 Hours/Week | Multiple Properties (Apartments & Single-Family Homes)
We are seeking a reliable, skilled Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position will work across multiple properties, including apartment communities and single-family homes. You will work both independently and alongside our full-time maintenance technician to ensure our properties are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing.
Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to remain structured, organized, and focused while managing multiple tasks and properties.
Position Details:
- Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
- Property Types: Apartments & single-family homes
- Work Environment: Combination of team and independent work
- Flexibility: Must be able to adapt to last-minute schedule changes, emergencies, or rerouting as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and property grounds
- Interior and exterior painting
- Landscaping, lawn care, and general grounds-keeping
- Turn work for vacant units, including repairs, and upgrades
- Appliance diagnostics and repairs
- Minor electrical and plumbing repairs
- Assist with seasonal projects, snow/ice removal, and exterior upkeep
- Address work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with full-time maintenance technician to complete larger projects
- Maintain clear, respectful consistent communication with tenants
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience in apartments or property management
- Working knowledge of appliance repair, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to operate landscaping and maintenance equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Previous experience with installing flooring preferred
- Previous experience with drywall and finish carpentry preferred
- Flexible and dependable, able to adjust to changing priorities or emergencies quickly
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods
- Ability to move/lift and assist in installing appliances on first and second floor
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
