We are adding to our team and hiring Instructors and Lead instructors!
S.A.M is a Mathematics Learning Program from Singapore, with a unique Mathematics curriculum designed for students from 4 to 12+ years of age and beneficial for students in public schools, charter schools, homeschool, and private schools. Our curriculum is modeled after the Singapore Math method/pedagogy, which is one of the most successful and internationally recognized, according to the global TIMSS (Trends in International Math & Science Study) survey. Topics covered in our program are relevant to all school-aged children in the US.
As the largest Singapore Math enrichment program in the world, S.A.M’s multi-award-winning Singapore Math enrichment program has served students in more than 200 centers in 20 countries. The S.A.E Phonics and English program (Coming Soon!) helps students to read fluently, write confidently, and achieve competence.
Our mission is to help students enjoy and excel in Math and English and prepare them for the future.
Our Math and English instructors are mentors who will teach kids using our curriculum in a small group (up to 4 kids) setting. The instructors use the existing curriculum to guide students on the individualized learning plan in a small group setting, maintain regular communication with the director about the instruction and student progress, and contribute to the effective operation of the overall Math and English program.
Requirements:
- Competent in teaching Mathematics and/or English
- Strong organization skills and a team player
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Cheerful and genuinely passionate about working with children
- Prior teaching experience
- Part-time availability after school
Primary duties involve:
· Coach students from age 4-12 years old and guide them to learn Math and/or English using the established curriculum
· Grade students’ work
· Communicate with the Education Director regularly about student progress
Tentative Available Working hours: New Employees can choose a min. 2 shifts:
Monday approx. 4pm - 7pm
Tuesday approx. 3pm - 7pm
Wednesday approx. 4pm - 7pm
Thursday approx. 3pm - 7pm
Saturday approx. 11am - 3:30pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
