Part Time Merchandiser

The Home & Garden business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. We are a leading supplier of consumer products nationally for the home, lawn and garden, insect and weed control markets. As a Seasonal Merchandiser, your biggest priority is completing store visits. Upon arriving at each of your designated stores, you will:

• Check in with a department leader or store associate
• Walk through the store to assess inventory levels and request backstock
• Fill displays and stock shelves
• Assist customers when needed
• Complete other projects as instructed
• Clean up the work area
• Check out with a department leader or store associate

While our training will set you up for success, there are a few skills/experience you should already have:

• High school diploma (or GED) and 1-2 years of retail or sales experience.
• Motivation and drive to succeed.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the territory, including overnight stays if needed.

• Stand, walk, and climb ladders
• Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
• Grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
• Have strong vision abilities (close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus)
• The noise level and working conditions may be similar to those for a warehouse facility.
• Exposure to weather conditions while traveling between assigned stores.
