Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Retail Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist customers with product selections, operate our self-service dog wash area, and ensure that both dogs and their owners have a comfortable, positive experience.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Provide knowledgeable information about products, including features and benefits.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the retail space and self-service dog wash stations.
- Provide guidance to customers using the dog wash facilities, ensuring safety and satisfaction.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with store policies regarding cash handling and phone etiquette.
Qualifications:
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Comfortable handling dogs in various environments.
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is a plus.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Availability to work weekends and occasional holidays.
