Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team!
Our NE Portland Boutique has been delighting customers for more than 40 years! We provide customers with a curated and well-organized space, that ensures a positive shopping experience. Customers come to us for beautiful gifts, home decor, women's clothing, jewelry, baby items, and paper goods.
Job Details:
$17-20/hour starting pay rate, dependent on experience
Part-time (must be able to work at least 3 shifts/week, including some weekend work)
8.5 hour shifts
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. This role involves long periods of standing.
Previous retail experience is desirable, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide product knowledge and information to customers
- Assist customers in finding the right products to meet their needs
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Gift wrap customer purchases, as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and maintaining merchandise display stories
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and pricing merchandise
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Maintain a supportive, collaborative team environment

This is a part-time, hourly position that starts at $17-20 depending on experience. Our store is open Monday-Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-5. Some weekend shifts will be required. Comprehensive training is provided.
