Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized School Secretary to join our Homeschool enrichment charter school. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for students, parents, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong computer literacy, time management skills and a friendly smile to ensure the smooth operation of the school office.
Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, greeting visitors and responding to phone and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date student records, oversee report card distribution and help manage administrative files.
- Student enrollment, registration, library book and curriculum management.
- Provide administrative support to teachers and administrators, including copies for teachers and ordering supplies.
- Handle phone calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Maintain an organized office environment, manage school calendars, field trips, and events information for families.
- CIIS training for immunization management and required medicine distribution training.
- Key person for outgoing information to all school families.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an administrative role or as a personal assistant is preferred.
- Strong computer literacy with proficiency in office software applications and willingness to learn Jeffco Public School's systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with calendar management and office organization is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
