- The Patient Care Tech Extender is responsible for assisting corresponding coworkers in their area of assignment or specialty. This would include Sonographers, CT Technologists, Mammography or any other area.
- The role is responsible for maintaining the department in a clean and ready state, and acting as a liaison between the patient, respective area employees and Managers if applicable as well as other members of the health care team.
- The PCTE is expected to use professional and ethical judgment at all times and, sound, critical thinking while performing their duties to ensure patient flow, resources and time are utilized effectively and efficiently to their maximum potential.
