Responsibilities:- PCT performs patient care and treatments under supervision of a RN. Provides and documents care including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, mobility, specimen collection and respiratory support activities as directed by the RN.
- Possess the ability to lift, move, position and transport patients.
- Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
- Demonstrates initiative to improve quality of care, patient and employee safety, and customer service.
Education:
Basic CNA Course or EMT-B Certification
Experience:
Previous Emergency Department experience preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
Multiculture sensitivity.
Microsoft Office - basic computer skills.
Customer/patient focused.
