Our OB/GYN practice in Bridgewater, NJ is hiring a Patient Service Representative (PSR).
- Greeting patients and visitors, assisting, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate waiting area.
- Paging or phoning appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room.
- Explaining financial requirements to patients, collecting, and recording copayments as required.
- Performing registration functions for new and existing patients and activating patient files.
- Promptly and professionally answering and routing calls to appropriate personnel, paging, offering voicemail, or redirecting calls as needed.
- Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service.
- Providing additional support to patients and medical staff and performing other duties as assigned.
- Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
- Adhering to infection control and safety guidelines as well as maintaining confidentiality regarding all patients and following confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Receptionist/PSR experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills & communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Ability to maintain composure and navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Team player.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week including some evening hours
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite location(s), where applicable, as needed.

Pay or shift range: $16 USD to $21 USD
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
