Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated PatientTransport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. The Transport Driver will operate various types of vehicles, including vans and shuttle vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate assigned vehicles, including vans, shuttles, and other transport vehicles.
- Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers or delivery of goods at designated locations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle interior and exterior.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Handle heavy lifting as required when loading or unloading goods or assisting passengers with their belongings.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver or in commercial driving preferred.
- Experience in paratransit, shuttle driving, school bus driving, or limousine services is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed during transport operations.
- A commitment to safety regulations and best practices in transportation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional weekends.
