The Multinational Underwriter is a specialized resource within our underwriting practice. In this role you will be a member of The Hartford’s (HIG’s) growth initiatives to build and execute a broader multinational risk strategy that supports small, mid-size and large U.S. domiciled risks.
Responsibilities:
Partner with our home office and regional underwriting teams to underwrite Controlled Master Programs (CMPs)
Manage the placement of compliant locally admitted policies with our Hartford Global Insurer Network
Provide multinational expertise at the point of sale as needed to differentiate The Hartford’s Multinational Choice offering
Strategic planning to create new business, account expansion and cross sell opportunities through demonstrated sales and negotiation skills
Qualifications:
2 + years of Multinational experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with all internal and external business partners
High energy self-starter, who is resilient and has an entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
An ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations and propose solutions
Demonstration of solid time, organizational, and desk management skills
Goal-oriented and delivers outcomes
Ability to challenge the status quo and compete to win
Superior technical knowledge and sound decision-making
This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$78,000 - $148,200The posted salary range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience.
