Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in caregiving, with experience in geriatrics.
Duties
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance patient well-being.
- Monitoring and documenting patient health status using myevv or similar systems.
- Supporting staff with basic medical tasks and ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Engaging with patients in therapeutic activities tailored to their individual needs.
- Collaborating with the team to deliver comprehensive care.
Experience
Candidates should have:
- Previous experience in caregiving roles within hospitals, nursing homes, or similar environments.
- Experience with myevv or other electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- A background in caring for the geriatric populations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
