- Medical Assistant will create and maintain patient charts for children in Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) EMR system.
- Must be a fast learner and maintain a positive attitude
- Medical Assistant must take direction well and be a team player
- Medical Assistant must take initiative and act independently
- MULTI-TASKING is required all day every day
- Must be good with children and families and not squeamish with earwax or mucus.
- Professionalism is of the upmost importance; candidate must maintain good hygiene (including pressed scrubs, manicured nails, neat/well-kept hair/facial hair, etc.)
- Must be punctual to work daily.
- No blood draws or vaccines are administered in this office.
Job Duties
- Medical Assistant will assist with in-office procedures on children
- Prepare exam rooms
- Take vitals, welcome families, and set the parents and children at ease
- Serve as a medical scribe for the providers
- Call in and/or enter prescriptions, orders, and tests
- Sterilize instruments
- Perform throat and nasal swabs
- Accurately enter patient information into electronic medical records (EMR) utilizing Modernizing Medicine (ModMed, Mod Med)
- Return patient calls regarding clinical questions
- Assist the physician at any given time
- Obtain authorizations
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
We are looking for someone who will go above and beyond to learn the necessary skills and terminology, regardless of relative experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:45am-4:30pm or until all patients are seen. We work hard and there is very little downtime.
