Seeking a full time LPN for a busy pediatric office in Clifton Park NY. Pay rate will be $28/hr-$36/hr, negotiable based on experience. Active NYS LPN license required.
Schedule will be 40 hours/ week (Four 9 hours days and one 4 hour day)
Organizational Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Boston Children's Health Physicians in its efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction
- Demonstrate continuing education by completing all required annual trainings, as stated in the Training Curriculum, including but not limited to care coordination, population health management and self-management support techniques.
- Complete annual corporate compliance training
- Understand and effectively communicate HIPAA compliance, corporate compliance and client confidentiality
- Ensure and/or remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulation
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Takes patients vital signs, height and weight
- Perform brief histories for patients coming in the office for sick visits
- Perform well visit questions and tests prior to physician coming to see the patient according to standing protocols
- Assigns patients and physicians to exam rooms
- Communicates with front desk staff as necessary
- Assists physicians during patient exam
- Prepares, administers and records medications in accordance with division policy and procedure as directed
- Administer vaccinations according to ACIP/AAP schedules as directed by the physician
- Stocks and maintains exam room supplies
- Perform in office lab tests including but not limited to flu tests, strep tests, urine dip, lipid and glucose finger sticks, lead finger sticks, mono finger sticks, hemoglobin finger sticks
- Records information concisely, accurately and completely in patient charts and/or on forms, etc
- Follow- up on diagnostic testing/lab results
- Ensure that test results are incorporated in patient chart
- Cleans and sterilizes equipment as necessary
- Maintains strictest confidentiality of patient's records in accordance with BCHP policy and HIPAA regulations
- Provide care in a patient-centered manner
- Participate in pre-visit planning
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities accordingly.
- Other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the office
