The People Specialist is responsible for executing HR related duties and is the initial point of contact for employee questions. The role will facilitate various tasks within the employee lifecycle including answer questions related to policies, execution and implementation of employee changes, ensuring employment law ad compliance are satisfied and the maintenance of employee data and files, through off boarding of employees. This position will be required to work on-site 5 days a week
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up to date HR related documentation
- Performs activities related to background checks, onboarding, employee new hire paperwork, including I-9 and E-verify processes, promotions, employee relations, employment verifications, performance review tracking, internal transfers, and other employee changes
- Partners closely with the People Business Partners and other members of the People team to execute work
- Responds to employee requests and meeting SLA’s and alignment to Archer’s Core Values
- Performs routine tasks required to execute human resource programs including, but not limited to compensation, benefits, employee leaves, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations and performance management cases
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Acts with integrity and confidentiality of all human resource related matters
What you need:
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience working in a human resource capacity
- Thorough understanding of HR laws and regulations to seamlessly execute various people related tasks
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills to provide solid solutions
- Positive attitude and open mind to be flexible for the business
- Strong communication skills along with interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Executing in a fast paced environment, adjusting to constant change and ambiguity
- Excellent organizational and time management skills and detail oriented to meet deadlines
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficient with Workday HCM and Google Workspace, along with various HR related systems and software
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
