Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Help clients with mobility and transfers
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Assist with behavior management techniques as needed
Skills:
- Experience working or not is preferred
- Knowledge of personal care systems and protocols
- Understanding of social work principles and practices
- Familiarity with basic nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs
- Ability to administer medications under supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
