Job Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for a variety of US Air Force computer systems and software suites. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while managing both security and IT issues for the US Air Force at Dyess AFB.
Responsibilities
- Technical support for desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software troubleshooting for data entry, security and office applications.
- Installation and maintenance of personal computing software and hardware
- Management of network access and handling of related issues
- Routine use of specific military systems including MilPDS, vMPF, BLSDM, myFSS, and others.
- Assistance with hardware accountability
- Creation of IT-related reports in a timely manner
- Communication with outside organizations for network or software access
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems is required
- Technical experience with mobile computing and Unix-based systems is a plus
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and their functions
- Experience with computer networking concepts and network administration
- Experience with military systems such as MilPDS, vMPF, BLSDM, myFSS, and others
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users at all levels of technical proficiency
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on user satisfaction
- At least 2 years of previous experience in desktop support or IT support roles is required
- Direct military experience as a contractor or service member is preferred

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
