Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide exceptional grooming services. This role involves working closely with pets, ensuring their comfort and safety while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Handle dogs safely and effectively during grooming sessions, ensuring their comfort and minimizing stress.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate with pet owners about their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
- Keep accurate records of grooming services provided for each pet.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Pet Groomer needed.
- Strong skills in dog handling and animal handling techniques.
- Knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming styles, and appropriate care practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A compassionate attitude towards animals, with a commitment to their well-being.
- Time management skills
