As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing patient care by providing personalized medication solutions and expert guidance. Your exceptional knowledge of pharmaceuticals, coupled with your passion for patient well-being, will allow you to create a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greet customers and answer questions.
- Answer phones in a timely manner while assisting customers at the counter.
- Provide exceptional customer service and encourage customers to write reviews.
- Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
- Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
- Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims).
- Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
- Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
- Undertake administrative tasks (e.g.record-keeping) as assigned.
- Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications.
- Complete monthly med-pack filling and preparation according to company standards.
- Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians.
- Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist.
- Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
- Generating revenues by recording, calculating and issuing charges.
- Maintaining necessary certifications, training and licenses.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Spanish/Portuguese speaking is highly desired.
- National Certification from an accredited pharmacy technician certification program approved by specific state regulations (e.g. PTCB, ExCPT, etc.) is preferred.
- LTC pharmacy experience preferred.
- Immunization certification is preferred..
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations is preferred.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
