Job Summary
As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for medical testing, transfusions, donations, or research. Your role is crucial in ensuring accurate and reliable diagnostic results for patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood specimens
- Label vials accurately and maintain patient records
- Verify patient information and prepare patients for procedures
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during blood collection
- Process samples for laboratory testing and maintain specimen integrity
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Skills
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques and blood sampling procedures
- Knowledge of vital signs and clinical laboratory practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Ability to phlebotomize patients of all ages in various settings
- Understanding of laboratory techniques and equipment
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals
- Experience working in hospitals or clinical settings is a plus

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

- Monday to Friday
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Required)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
