The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Transporting patients to and from Rehab Dept, and assist personnel transferring patients. Perform routine duties in department (e.g. storing linen, cleaning whirlpool, etc.) and assist therapist when necessary with patients of all ages.

Qualification

Required:

• High School graduate.
• Experience working with patients preferred.

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

• Per Diem
• Day

Essential Functions:

• Accompany therapists to unit to assist in bedside treatment.
• Assists in maintenance of equipment and wheelchairs and notifies coordinator of necessary repairs.
• Assists in simple clerical duties and acts as a messenger as needed.
• Assists therapist and works with patients as directed by the therapist.
• Completes required transport logs / records on time and accurately.
• Copies and distribute daily schedules to units at end of day.
• Keeps work areas clear and orderly, specifically gym, out patient booths and whirlpool area.
• Maintains patient safety in transfers, transports and any other patient care activities. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of hospital safety and fire regulations.
• Transports EMG/consults for Medical Director and assists as needed.
• Transports patients between floors and departments and within department using wheelchair, stretcher, and appropriate accessories. Assists other hospital personnel with transfers as part of transport.
• Treats patients in courteous and respectful manner at all times.
• Works with other aides to create and complete individual schedule from master schedule and complete scheduled work on time during shift. Assists in inpatient scheduling and is responsible for updating staff on schedule changes
