Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to assist in the delivery of therapeutic services to patients. Your primary focus will be on improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall physical function through various treatment modalities. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and have a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology.
Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls.
- Schedule appointments.
- Massage and stretch muscles where necessary.
- Set up therapy equipment.
- Sanitize therapy area.
- Lift or move patients.
- Monitor patients during sessions.
- Guide patients through exercises where necessary.
- Brief patients and their families on after-therapy care.
Physical Therapist Assistant Requirements:
- Certification from a physical therapist assistant program.
- Valid physical therapist assistant license.
- A high school qualification or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients.
- Computer literacy skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
