Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing innovative ideas for new pizza offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper sanitation practices.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens and cutting tools.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience with menu planning and culinary techniques specific to pizza preparation.
- Proficient in using kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other cooking equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- A passion for fine dining and delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
