Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in pizza preparation and cooking. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious pizzas while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and your attention to detail will contribute to our customers' satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards.
- Cook pizzas in a high-temperature oven, ensuring optimal taste and presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking stations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Assist with upselling menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely order preparation and delivery.
- Participate in training new staff on pizza preparation techniques and kitchen protocols.
Skills
- Strong basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately.
- Experience in the restaurant or food industry, particularly with pizza cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system for order processing is a plus.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Previous experience in grocery store environments or bussing roles is advantageous but not required.
