Planer Mill Lead - Perry, Georgia
Interfor is seeking energetic and enthusiastic team players to join our team as a Planer Mill Lead in Perry, Georgia. Starting rate for this position will be based on skill level and experience.
What You'll Do:
- Observe planning machine operation and adjust controls to ensure highest quality standards.
- Perform routine/preventative maintenance on all planer machine equipment.
- Operate in a safe and productive manner to prevent injuries.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in and around designated area.
- Identify ways to improve quantity and quality.
What You Offer:
- Knowledge of Sawmill and planer operation.
- 2-3 years in lumber operations.
- Ability to meet standards in all areas when trained.
- Good work ethic and use good judgment.
- Able to follow instructions.
- Ability to utilize time wisely and be flexible.
- Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise.
- Ability to recognize problems and have them corrected immediately.
- Understanding of the importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team.
- Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments.
- Personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
