Job Summary
This role’s primary objective will be ensuring an excellent customer and dealer experience with SurePoint’s rapidly growing line of Planter Upgrade products including MVX electric seed meters, RFX row unit suspension, and GFX row cleaners. The focus geography of this position will be the Central and Eastern Corn Belt (Iowa, Illinois, Indiana and contiguous states).
In the role you will be expected to be an expert by combining prior experience with rapid on-the-job training on SurePoint’s Planter Technology Upgrade products.
Duties/Responsibilities of Planter Technology Upgrades Product Specialist
Sales and Demonstration: In the fall and winter you will be engaged in the sales process. You will support SurePoint’s sales staff in identifying leads, assisting with sales meetings and calls, and providing customer (dealer and end users) demos.
Dealer Engagement and Training: You will engage with dealers to ensure they have the knowledge and training needed to sell, install and support the target products. You will provide training in group and one-on-one sessions to build knowledge, expertise and confidence of dealer personnel.
Installation Support: You will provide support and assistance to both dealers and end customers in the installation of the target products. Your role will be to train alongside customers and dealers, allowing them to execute the majority of installation. You may be asked to return to assist with run-off testing.
Start Up and In-Field Support: You will assist dealers and end customers with planter start up and provide in field support as necessary to ensure an excellent customer experience.
You will work with the Planter Technology Upgrades Product Manager, Territory Managers, Inside Sales and Engineering teams.
Critical Skills for Success in this Position

- Row Crop Planter Operation
- Cab Displays
- Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical systems of planting equipment
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Expenses
The employee will be issued a company credit card to use for all travel and other expenses incurred while executing the duties of the position. You will complete an expense report and return in a timely manner.
Vehicle
The employee will be issued a company vehicle for all business travel.
Other Duties
The position will have other duties not specifically defined above that are essential for the overall success of SurePoint Ag.

In addition to the specific duties detailed above, you are expected to provide support and assistance in achieving the overall goals and objectives of SurePoint Ag through collaboration, teamwork and communication.
Location and Travel
Option 1: Located within the focus region. Up to 80% travel will be expected during the critical period between December and May. In June-November, travel is expected to be 30-40% and will include time spent at SurePoint in Atwood, KS.
Option 2: Located at SurePoint in Atwood, KS. In this option the position will require up to 90% travel into the target region during the months of December – May. In June – November, the travel is expected be 30-40%.
In addition to the focus area, you may be asked to support Planter Technology Upgrades in other regions as needed.
