Stork's Plows, a leading provider of snow and ice removal equipment and parts, is seeking a Plow Assembler to join our hands-on shop team. In this vital role, you'll help ensure our plows are assembled and ready for installation appointments. If you take pride in seeing a job through from start to finish, this could be the role for you.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and prep plows so they are installation-ready for our technicians
- Prepare full plows, spreaders, and large parts for freight shipping
- Communicate with the Freight Coordinator to ensure documentation is accurate and shipments are ready on time
- Assist installers by locating truck-specific used mounts, wiring or other parts for installs or outbound shipments for sold used plows
- Support the shop team as needed to keep workflow smooth and on schedule
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools and working around heavy equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to help where needed and the drive to complete work in a timely manner
- Must be ready to shift gears as there is always something new in this position
- Must have tools for the job (general mechanic tools)
- Prior experience in assembly, shipping or shop work is a plus, but not required (we'll train the right candidate)
