Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Plumber's Helper to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry while assisting experienced plumbers in various tasks. The Plumber's Helper will work on construction sites, residential projects, and commercial installations, contributing to the successful completion of plumbing systems. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand plumbing layouts and requirements.
- Perform pipe threading and assembly of plumbing fixtures.
- Support construction activities by collaborating with team members on site.
- Conduct basic maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good condition.
- Help with remodeling projects by installing new plumbing systems or upgrading existing ones.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in construction or construction plumbing is preferred.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to plumbing tasks.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an aptitude for problem-solving.
- Experience in field service or maintenance person work is beneficial.
